Plug the machine into a power outlet, remove the blue tape, and push the button to start. The black tube and spacer should already be on each side of the SoClean. You’ll see a space that needs to be blocked depending on the placement of the machine.
The SoClean should be placed next to your CPAP machine. To properly use the device, block the right side with the spacer, depending on where your CPAP machine is located. Inside the SoClean, you’ll find a filter that needs to be removed from its plastic wrap and inserted into the slot. The filter should be replaced every six months, and SoClean will alert you when it’s time to do so. After closing the lid:
- Connect the black tubing from the SoClean to your CPAP machine.
- For the first time, disconnect your CPAP tubing and open the water chamber lid.
- Insert the black tubing into the water chamber and plug it like your regular tubing.
After closing the lid, your tubing should be placed on top of the SoClean and remain connected at all times. If you use heated tubing, an adapter is required for use with the SoClean. To set the clock, press the “clock” button, use the plus and minus buttons to select the correct time, then press the clock button again. If you wish to set a timer for the SoClean to turn off automatically, press the timer button.
To set the timer for the SoClean, press the timer button and use the plus or minus buttons to adjust the cleaning time (default is 7 minutes). Then press the timer button to set the start time (the default is 10:00 a.m.). If you prefer to start the cleaning manually, press the manual switch. In the morning, remove your CPAP mask and place it inside the SoClean with the tubing still attached. Close the lid and either wait for the SoClean to start at the set time or press the manual button to begin cleaning. After cleaning, allow the ozone to dissipate for a few hours before using your CPAP again.
